LACEY LYNCH AKA LGL TENACITY

Lacey Lynch (Co-Founder), otherwise known as LGL Tenacity is a seasoned event producer and development consultant with a razor focus on social justice. Her spirit to serve her communities comes from her upbringing in philanthropy as her mother was a commissioner of North Carolina who taught her to pay blessings forward. In 2022, she was awarded The BaBEC Equity Architect Award and NYTAG Sylvia Rivera Exemplary Achievement Award for contributions for Black & Brown people of trans experience. Her continued efforts, recently awarded her a New York State Proclamation from Governor Hochul during TDOV for Women’s History Month - “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories”. She is most proud of being a co-founder of The Radical Hearts Collective.

LGL is most known for her fearless tenure at the Sylvia Rivera Law Project as Director of Development & Fundraising. Her role within the Collective was focused on the sustainability of SRLP’s mission, financial health while developing new opportunities for growth through grassroots fundraising. She maximized opportunities to grow their fiscal budget from 1 million to 1.5 million alone from 2019 to 2023.  This growth of SRLP’s annual operating budget continued with a diversified income without government funding and ending with a surplus each year. Additionally, she was blessed to gain an extra 1 million dollars of unrestricted funding from one major donor, leaving SRLP with funding for future fiscal years. Her favorite contributions to community, membership, clients and interns were supporting their goals and transferable leadership skills within the Fundraising & Finance Team plus Collective Development Team. Proudest moments at SRLP where when she created both paid leadership development opportunities and micro-grants, moving over 75K back to community in need during the pandemic.

Lacey started her career as hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience with companies such as Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental Hotels Group and Carlson with a successful background in building strong service and revenue cultures. She is a 4th generation hotelier and proud daughter of pioneers who shaped the New York City tourism & transportation businesses until 9/11. Previously she has worked as Director of Operations and Director of Development & Finance at SRLP and Consulting Director The Ice Palace Resort in Fire Island leading up to its sale.

She is passionate about her Fire Island community as a Founding Board Member for The Black and Brown Equity Coalition (BaBEC) BaBEC’s mission is to “…develop and implement initiatives and activities to promote Black and transgender equity as well as a sense of belonging among LGBTQ+ Black people and all people of color in Cherry Grove, Fire Island Pines and surrounding areas.”

BaBEC is well known for their Juneteenth Fire Island weekend experience which includes over 15 events that celebrate Black Liberation. Highlighting her producing credits, she is very proud of The Mx. Juneteenth Pageant which celebrates Black Drag Artistry of all gender expressions promoting performance equity.

Always seeking to serve, in the past she has volunteered as Director of Community Engagement for Transcend Legal to help the TGNCI community obtain legal services in New York State – focusing on areas that resources are limited or nonexistent. Previously she has also volunteered with organizations such as GLITS, Pride for Youth, TLDEF, PFLAG, HRC and Rotary International.

She is also an alumni of New York Women Foundation’ Director of Development circle and the North Star Fund 2020 Giving Project raising over 300K collectively for Black Led NYC organizations. Lacey looks forward to continuing the work our elders of Stonewall jumped started in 1969, knowing that Liberation happens when we show up for each other, hold space, break bread and have uncomfortable conversations in a caring way. Her hopes are for our people to be free to self-determine and break the systematic chains of oppression; such as racial, economic and medical injustices focused on equity and healing Justice.
